Integral Yoga courses
Maestra TARA began teaching Integral Yoga in 2003. Since then, year after year, under her guidance, hundreds of students have discovered the true meaning of Yoga — how complex, pure, and vast it really is.
Through her personal example, as a human being living according to the principles of Yoga, Maestra TARA constantly shows her students what it means to live everyday life in Truth.
Working with the physical body is essential because the cells store the information of everything we experience. By giving our attention to the breath and the body — not only to the soul and the mind — we help ourselves, from two directions, to rediscover our true nature.
For everything we have to live in this lifetime is the journey toward ourselves: to remove the layers that prevent us from seeing who we are and from expressing our real essence. Why can’t we see ourselves as wonderful and as gifted as we truly are? Why don’t we see things as they really are? Because we rely too much on our senses, and they have been dulled by the habitual patterns of perception we’ve developed. It is good to purify our senses and to strive to perceive the reality beyond sight, hearing, and touch.
Exercise: “Let’s see what shape, color, and scent the chair we’re sitting on has.”
Developing the ability to observe is very useful, but even more valuable is the state of contemplation, contemplarein which we observe without interfering — simply noticing. We can begin with a correct posture of the head and cervical area, allowing the free circulation of blood, nerve impulses, and energy. With eyes closed, I feel my soles in my shoes, my skin, the arches of my feet — my roots — my ankles, calves, my entire body.
I feel the life flowing through me, through my blood, through my cells. It flows on its own, as a gift, independent of my will. It’s like a friend visiting, whom I respect, appreciate, and to whom I wish to offer the best conditions. I proceed the same way with the breath — I observe how breathing happens within me.
I notice how the life within me, my breath, seeks to live freely. These know my true nature, and when I force myself to be something other than what I feel, they feel constrained and disturbed. I feel the life within me and perceive that its greatest wish for me is to seek Truth every day — sincerely. The breath of hidden realms — I exhale to infinity, gather myself with the inhale, and recreate myself anew, just as I am.
The courses at Armonia Center are structured to offer: Beginner classes (Year I of study), and Advanced classes (Year II and beyond). The courses are designed so that those entering our center for the first time can, under the guidance of TARA and with the help of senior volunteer students, build a solid foundation of practice. The goal is for each participant to be able to apply in daily life what they learn during classes.
To achieve real results, we rely on two fundamental principles: We fully respect (100%) what our Teacher teaches us. We maintain continuity — attending classes regularly and applying what we’ve learned from one session to the next.
Each Integral Yoga class is complete and complex, designed to meet the needs of participants and to integrate, into one harmonious whole, elements from:
